Barrett Younghans, Goshen, stands with his wife Chelsea outside of Parkside Elementary School where he attended grade school, just down the street from his parents’ house. In 2012, Barrett received a heart transplant at the age of 19. Just last month he married Chelsea, and they honored Barrett’s donor at the wedding by making him an honorary groomsman.

Lovejoy was one of many racers from around the world to compete on the frozen lake as part of the International DN Ice Yacht Racing Association.
Sanford Ropp, of Goshen, makes laps around the track while training with his horse Feb. 28 at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. Ropp, a 22-year harness racing veteran, has spent the winter getting ready for racing season to begin March 29 at Hoosier Park in Anderson.
